Why do children need eye exams?
We all want our children to have the best possible start in life. To have the best start this should include eye care. Comprehensive eye exams at a young age are important to diagnose and treat eye conditions. Many eye conditions can impact not only eye health but learning. Good eye sight is critical for learning and development. We believe all children should have regular eye exams and welcome all little eyes. We specialize in princesses and superheros eye care and make the eye exam process fun.
How often should children have an eye exam?
We recommend children have their first eye exam around six months of age to identify potential problems early. They should be checked again at three years of age to determine normal development and vision. Subsequent exams should be conducted before entering kindergarten and every one to two years after that, unless your doctor recommends more frequent exams. If your child has not had an eye exam, even if you believe they have good vision, schedule one today to ensure the best possible vision and development.
